Blue Sky Horse Rescue's mission is to rescue as many abused, neglected and unwanted horses as possible. We are dedicated to the health and well-being of all horses we take in. We are currently in the process of expanding our rescue capabilities by purchasing approximately 3,000 more acres of land, which is adjacent to the current reserve. Donations of any type would be much appreciated, whether it is in the form of feed, medical supplies, veterinarian and farrier services, tack equipment, etc. Monetary donations are documented and accounted for by a private CPA firm. Please help us give these wonderful animals another chance The initial average cost of rescuing a horse ranges from $200-$500, depending on the condition of the animal; additionally, the average monthly cost of caring for a horse is about $150. This includes trimming, vaccination, worming, vet fees and feed, if the horse needs special attention or care, the cost can be as high as $3,700 (for more information click here for costs to save a horse).
